Nationally accredited Breast Cancer Care Center in Aurora
It is common to feel anxious and overwhelmed when you are diagnosed with breast cancer. At TMCA’s Breast Cancer Care Center, we help you understand your diagnosis and treatment options. Our care and offerings include:
- Multiple specialists available at one time and in one location for initial visits
- Quick and efficient evaluation
- Timely development of a treatment action plan
- A monthly breast cancer support group facilitated by breast cancer specialists and survivors
- Encouragement for family and friends to attend appointments for additional support

Working together in a multi-specialty office allows our specialists to share information, evaluate each patient’s case and offer reassurance and support. Our team includes oncologists (cancer doctors), surgeons, radiologists and nurse navigators.
The doctors at the Breast Cancer Care Center are recognized leaders in treating breast cancer. In addition, many of our breast specialists are involved with clinical trials. As a result, patients have access to the latest and most advanced treatments.
Your first visit to the Breast Cancer Care Center will last approximately two hours. During this time, you will meet with a nurse counselor, a medical oncologist and a surgeon, all in one location.

The Breast Cancer Care Center in a nationally accredited care center that specializes in breast cancer. The Breast Cancer Care Center is within Colorado Breast Care, which focuses on overall breast health, screening and care at The Medical Center of Aurora (TMCA). Colorado Breast Care is fully accredited by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), a program administered by the American College of Surgeons.
Breast cancer support group
Our breast cancer support group meets the third Thursday of every month from 6:00pm to 7:00pm at Colorado Breast Care. A virtual support group is now offered. There is no cost to attend the group, which is facilitated by Anne Kniffin, R.T. (R)(M), Mammography Technologist
The group covers a variety of topics, including:
- Focus on healing; lymphedema
- The Lebed method of exercise
- Updates on breast cancer
- Sex and sexuality
- Breast cancer - truth or myth
- Breast cancer fears
- Chiropractic and acupuncture doctors

Breast Imaging Center of Excellence
Colorado Breast Care is designated as a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology (ACR). This designation signifies that our breast imaging services have achieved high practice standards in image quality, personnel qualifications, facility equipment, quality control procedures and quality assurance programs.
