MedicalGPS patient experience survey measures patient satisfaction from the time the appointment was
made to the time the patient spent with the provider.
Visit Preparation: Measures how courteous, respectful and friendly the clinical
staff was during the patient's visit.
Provider Explanation: Measures whether providers at this practice gave clear,
easy-to-understand explanations during the patient's visit.
Office Wait Time: Measures how satisfied the patient was with wait time during
Patient Recommendation: Measures how likely the patient is to recommend this
practice to family and friends.
Laura Sweeney, CNM, MS is a certified nurse midwife with over 16 years of experience in labor delivery. Laura received her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Texas Women's University and her Master of Science in Nurse Midwifery from the University of Colorado Health Science Center. Laura's experience in midwifery ranges from working in labor and delivery units as a registered nurse, to serving as a clinical assistant professor at the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center. She committed to midwifery in 1993 when she began working exclusively as a nurse midwife. After working for a private practice in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Laura moved back to Colorado and began practicing at Westside Women's Care in Arvada, Colorado, in 1999. Laura feels strongly that childbirth is one of the most significant events in a woman's life. Her primary goal is to educate women and their families so they are able to make informed decisions throughout pregnancy and childbirth in order to achieve the best outcome for a healthy and emotionally satisfying birth experience. In her spare time, Laura enjoys spending time with her husband and three children, and experiencing the outdoors of Colorado. She is also a dedicated runner and avid mountain biker.
