Low C-Section Rate
Cesarean or C-sections may be increasing in popularity nationally, but here at Aurora we have one of the lowest C-section rates in the Denver-metro area.
Supportive of VBACs
For women who have had a C-section for their first delivery and would like to attempt a vaginal birth for their second delivery, we support you. In fact, we are one of the few hospitals in the area that does support patients wishing to have a vaginal birth after Cesarean (VBAC) delivery.
Level IIIA NICU
At The Medical Center of Aurora, we have a Level IIIA Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) – just in case your little one is born early or needs extra care. Level IIIA is one of the highest ratings for a NICU, meaning that we can handle some of the more serious conditions in preemie and ill newborns. Additionally, we work in collaboration with The Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children, which offers the widest spectrum of pediatric specialty care in Denver.
